Objectives:

A Hampshire supplier of CCTV equipment wanted to assess the market size of the underground drains/CCTV market in the UK. They also wanted to establish pricing levels for the services they proposed to offer and whether there was a substantial market opportunity.

Methodology:

A detailed search of the internet and off-line sources was conducted. Telephone contact was made with selected civil engineers, contractors/developers, opinion formers and competitors in the CCTV drains market to establish information that could answer the objectives. These contacts were all generated by Research for Results.

Findings:

  • The objectives were successfully addressed and clear recommendations were made to our client that a substantial market opportunity did not exist at that time and it was recommended that the service be offered as an add-on for their existing franchisees.
  • The client considered the project extremely valuable to aid their decision-making.
